I used an old box to transplant plants into it so I didn't miss the mess it would make! But it was ugly and I had to replace it when it got wet. This mat is durable and very easy to clean! It's the perfect solution that's easy to fold up and store away! Love it!

I thought it was a great idea and ordered without thinking I'd be thrilled. I didn't think it would be so necessary, but it is. I have a shed, but I don't always go there to replant houseplants. Now my kitchen table stays clean and this plant mat saved my day. Have used it many times.

This mat is great when I'm working with repotting or working with orchids. It keeps my workspace clean. I also use this craft mat, it keeps small pieces of craft supplies in one place and then easily folds in half to toss the accumulated dirt in the trash. This mat is very comfortable and fits easily in my garden bag with my tools.

If you move indoors a lot and do such dirty work. This is a great idea for a cleaner workspace. I must have used it 20 times in the first week I had it. Portable, easy to clean, converts from flat to button-down corners for sidewalls, then rolls up and stores in the right place. I've grown my indoor potted garden to the ridiculous. And basically you have a small kitchen counter for transplants or other maintenance work. This worked well for keeping the clutter out and preventing mud and leaves from spilling onto the floor etc and preventing water from seeping through. They're basically the same fabric as Ikea tote bags, just flat until you snap the corners together. I took the smaller size to fit my space. It was a worthwhile purchase.

Makes exactly what you need. I make my own potting soil mixes in the bathroom of our Manhattan apartment, so cleanup is a breeze. We just throw it in the trash/compost, rinse it off in the shower and then wash and dry it. If you're just doing a simple transplant or just watering with a mix, you probably don't even need to do all of that.
