6-Piece Large Canister Set with Scoops 🥫 - OXO Good Grips, 4.4 qt each, in White Review

I love the OXO storage boxes but I sent them back because it was misleading. If they say 6, I figured I'd get six reservoirs. Not so when you get: 3 containers 3 libraries 3 shovels It just wasn't worth it for me, maybe for you, but now you know what you get.

This size is great for a five pound sack of flour or sugar or a cookie jar. They come with a 1/2 cup measuring scoop that fits snugly inside the lid. Containers have excellent tightness! They fold up nicely. And since I'm a total geek, I got my labeler out so I'd never confuse flour with biscuit.

These are the worst food containers. They're a decent size for 5lb bags of flour - I'm going to orbit - but that's ALL. They have ZERO suction power, the lid literally pops off right after the "plop" of the button. To be honest I don't know what "button" does. Neither container is sealed, making them unsuitable for actual food storage. I really liked the shape (square) for my pantry, but unfortunately I'm sticking with my version of Rubbermaid. Stay away from them!

I have pantries and was hoping those expensive overpriced containers would have more suction. When I press the suction button at the top, the lid should stay closed tightly, but it doesn't: the bottom stays depressed and the lid lifts and stays open to allow bugs to get in. I know they are stylish and very durable, but the whole point I paid for these expensive containers was to prevent moths and bugs from getting into the flour and food. I will be keeping them as they hold a reasonable amount…

The set includes three containers and three shovels. The capacity is quite substantial. I could fit 2.5-3 pound bags of rice in one bin. The top is easy to put on and holds up pretty well when you press the button. At first I thought the spatula would be useless and get in the way. However, I tested it and found that one scoop is 1/2 cup. We two in the rice cooker need three measuring spoons. This is far more convenient than digging out our measuring cup, which is often washed in the dishwasher

They are **NOT** airtight. I had an infestation of food moths and bought these to protect my flour and rice. After throwing away the contaminated food, I placed my rice (which was in a plastic bag in my pantry) in one of these containers. A few days later I found larvae in my container. The internet says food moths can get into sealed plastic bags. Despite many reports from people saying they have the same problem, I assumed food moth eggs were already in my factory-sealed rice bag.
