OXO Grips Double Bucket Garnish Review

That was a great ice bucket! I love the size which is perfect for my home bar and the convenience of storing lemons and limes in a small container that can be placed in a bucket to keep them chilled until ready to serve. The tongs work well and can be hung next to the bucket from either side. I definitely recommend this ice bucket.

First my fault for not reading the dimensions. Based on the photos, I had imagined it to be really bigger. I was throwing a 40th birthday party in my backyard and thought this would be great for my cocktail station. It turns out it worked even when it was small. This thing held ice for hours. I mean it obviously can't take much, but it's well insulated.

We don't go through a lot of ice cream but it was nice to have some ice cream for company without having to climb in and out of the freezer. The next morning, about 18 hours after the bucket was filled, we still had cubes. I didn't think it would hold up so well with just the plastic lid, but it was a delightful surprise. The side hooking tongs didn't get in the way and the set tray worked well for our limited space.

I thought like others it wouldn't work due to the lid leaking but I've been using it for years and it's great. I used it for a party this summer. At the end of the night I was tired, there was ice in the bucket, I left it on the counter to take care of in the morning. The next day there was still ice. I use this for use in a drinks rack. I fill it in the fridge with an ice maker. After a few hours, the ice in the bucket will melt and turn into a lump. It's quite difficult to break half-melted ice into usable pieces that fit in old-fashioned, wide-rimmed glasses (narrower juice glasses can be an even bigger problem). Purchased for boat ice. The boat has an ice maker and the ice is cold when we add it to this cooler, but unless the top of the cooler is covered with extra insulation, the ice will melt quickly in the sun. This is a great little ice bucket. I fill it up and use it in our shed for gardening so I don't have to keep running to the kitchen to get ice for drinks. But it's good enough to use in parties etc. as well. It has enough ice for several people (not a group of 10 or more) or next to wine bottles for those who like wine a little colder.
