PAC PAC-500: Power-Packed 500-Amp Relay Battery Isolator for Superior Performance Review

Not many relays can handle the current this relay can handle. I use it as a power breaker for my winch. No more escapes for me. Sturdy and well built unit, easy to install if you have mechanical/electrical skills.

Worked great as a 1:1 replacement in my GMC Yukon, powering a 2500w inverter. This relay allows me to turn off the inverter with a dash mounted switch. The original was under the hood for 2 years. let's see how long that lasts. *Update* Still valid for more than 2 years!

I have 4 of these solenoids installed in 3 of my cars. a second starter battery and another used to activate my two winches and an Anderson connector for custom jumpers.

Seems heavy enough to have the necessary components inside to do what it's supposed to do. I use it as a switching relay to isolate the winch on the front of my jeep. 1 star is not possible because 2 nuts and 4 washers are missing. Luckily I have a stash where I could find something that worked.

I like that it works but I just use a lot of current when I plug everything in it drops almost 2 whole volts I think , it will be fine without it, I would not recommend it for audio, but if it is needed for other purposes, I think it will be fine, just do not connect powerful devices to it, it will become a terrible one lead low voltage.

I bought this magnet to replace the original one. Used on 87 f350. This truck has a 460. Due to replacing all the wires (thicker section) I had to go with this solenoid because I burned (Chinese bullshit with other names) all the other solenoids I had installed in it. The solenoid is definitely durable and I'm very happy with it. I plan on getting another one for the battery disconnect in the future. I just want it to come with some sort of port cover, otherwise please!

Feels like a good heavy duty solenoid and so far is working as expected. I hooked it up to my winch power line to shut off the power in front of the jeep. The only thing that caught my eye is that the product description says it is a 500A DC, 750A surge protected magnet, but the information on the device packaging says it is a 500A continuous current, pulsed magneto 500 current A. Shouldn't be a big problem for my application, but be aware that the description may be wrong.

A bit pricey not sure if they are exactly the same as others for a slightly lower price but they look the same in the pictures at Revain. Without editing and testing all versions, I can't say.
