Description of πŸ”Š PAC Premium Amplifier Interface Kit GM - Enhance Your Radio Sound System with the PAC AOEMGM1416

The factory amp (if equiped) & system will remain unchanged. Interface is transformer isolated, maintains phase and is linear from 20 to 20,000 HZ. This 4 channel interface will allow the output to be adjusted to the input requirements of the new amplifier, providing 2:1 gain and infinite attenuation. The input connectors plug into the factory stereo and vehicle harness. The 4 female RCA output jacks plug for connecting to the new amplifier.

Plug and play - quick and easy installation

Installed in my 2011 Silverado. Works great and installs very quickly - no more than 30 minutes from start to finish. plug and play There was plenty of room for the adapter behind the factory head unit.

Plug and Play: Car electronics

It works great with my 2010 Tahoe with Bose audio system. My son accidentally turned it on and almost blew up my subwoofer. Everything works, good sound, just make sure the rear radio is off.

Great but ruthless on a remote cable

Works great as an ad. except the blue remote wire didn't work at all, that was the only reason I got it, but I can't give it 3 stars because it keeps you from hacking the factory wiring. I just added a fuse for the remote cable to my amp.

Pros
  • This is amazing

Installed only a few weeks while it works.

Installed in just a few weeks, works as it should, but there is a large cavity between the air ducts behind the standard stereo that you can easily insert the unit and wiring into. Install it on a 2011 Silverado cab.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Update available

Easy install for amp

I was worried it wouldn't sound good on my 5 channel amp but it does. Calls on the low-frequency channel are a little loud by default, but by properly adjusting the gain on this amp, I was able to attenuate it to an acceptable level. I like to keep the factory look and function.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Volume

Not worth the hassle!

Good. It was easy to install, but finding a place behind the radio to place it was a little difficult. Poorly. After 6 weeks of installation the problems started, the radio wouldn't turn on, no ringing or sound for the turn signal, the parking assist system kept flashing on the dash and said it was off, and the radio just magically started working when I turned it on turned on the truck was gone for a while after that but only to be gone again after a few minutes. For the money spent which now…

  • Nice packaging

  • Bad impression

Good product for cars and car electronics

So you want to add an amplifier and subwoofer but keep the stock radio for now? You will need this or you will splice wires. Not sure if the gain controls affect the main speaker outputs or just the RCA outputs, but I don't think the volume is as high as it was from the factory. Or maybe because of the subwoofer, it just seems so now. Anyway, PAC says the output is linear 20-20kHz BUT this is based on the input and as we all know standard radios are not linear in the output. For example, low…

Pros
  • Great for me
