Required for easy install

Does the job well, is required to communicate with GM Bose systems. The instructions are vague and could use additional information for the installer. Overall a decent product and it makes installation easy

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Works as advertised

Used this to fit a new Pioneer radio to my C5. Easy to connect and works great. There are output adjustments so as not to overload Bose amplifiers, everything was fine for me out of the box. You can find more info online with videos etc, this worked for my setup.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Works but sound suffers

Technically this device worked, but I don't think it sounded good. The stock head unit sounded better than the new JVC unit and it shouldn't. I tried adjusting the potentiometer but that didn't help. I ended up replacing the Bose parts and now the sound is better even though I installed an amp and subwoofer.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Write later

I've rewired a few of my Corvettes in the past and if you're messing around with a Bose system it's usually a compromise. Not in this case. The instructions may take a bit of work, but really, if you're thinking in terms of a robot, installation should be pretty easy.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • It's ok

Very easy to install

Very easy to install. This is a great way to connect my Alpine BT149HD to a Bose system. I lost some bass even after fiddling with the knobs for about an hour. Sound quality has clearly degraded and the Bose system isn't designed for use with aftermarket stereos. Eventually I will need to replace the Bose speakers and amp.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Other

Easy installation on car and car electronics

I used it to install a Kenwood KDC-X704 in my 03 Z06. It was easier than I thought, just line up the wires as directed and then connect everything. Sounds better than the original head unit. I experimented with the volume controls for the front speakers and found that the best tonal balance was to set the small screw pointers to about the 12:30 position (all the way down and then back a bit).

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Upgradable

Make all connections, adjust front speaker potentiometers.

Works fairly well, but as many Corvette blogs have noted you need to adjust the potentiometers on the PAC ROEMVET-1 to get more treble out of the front door speakers. The instructions provided with the device may use more of a diagram and instead rely on written explanations. After removing the original head unit (HU), 3 cables remain - a large 20-pin connector (C1 and C2), a 4-pin connector (C3) and a 9-pin connector (C4). C1+C2 connects to the wiring harness included in the ROEMVET-1 kitโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance
