did not read the instructions. After taking the time to read everything, I was able to get it working without any problems.

It's a little intimidating, but on my Kenwood it was a literal color match. Everything still works including the ram average mileage. According to the instructions it doesn't work.

Once you've connected the main unit wiring harness (by soldering, crimping, twisting and taping or whatever), you're done! Kept the controls on the steering wheel and got the fade mode on the Pioneed head unit! Works great so far

With this adapter we managed to connect the head unit to the Android. This solves the problem of the dash odometer display flashing when it is unable to communicate with the stock radio and all controls including the steering wheel buttons are working properly.

I bought this solution thinking it would be plug and play but it isn't. I had to hook this up to my computer to update and program it properly. The cable required for this costs 50 dollars. Do yourself a favor and find a Maestro branded device. In my case, the Maestro was $20 more but included a $50 cable to connect to a PC.
