The best trekking poles!

I bought these poles to walk in physical therapy for lower back/thigh issues and weakened cortex. I needed something that would feel comfortable in my hands, work on different surfaces, and stay at my desired height without "slipping". The special tips on these sticks are amazing! The handles are comfortable. The sticks are very light and easy to use. My hands slide in and out of the grips with ease (and they can be adjusted if I want a different fit). I am very happy about every feature. I…

Love the super light weight

Just received will update as soon as I use it. I walk up to 10 miles about once a week so I'm not a hiker but I have back problems and need support. They really only weigh 6.7 ounces each (my kitchen scale) without any attachments other than the handle. With very useful and sturdy looking "rubber feet" they weigh 7.4 ounces each. Due to their low weight, they are comfortable to hold. You feel strong. The handle feels very comfortable. They don't have the foam rubber floor bushings that many…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not bad

When I was trying to model in my living room, walking down a hill with my hands on the grips, I felt the foam grip on top buckle. This went on for 2 more tries and when I inspected the handles they had snapped in the top notch where the strap goes in. I compared them to my aluminum expedition poles with cork grips (which I LOVE) and the foam grip construction or design seemed lacking or underpowered to handle. The foam grip feels cheap, and from this experience it really is. If it were cork…

Pros
  • Very good value for money

Great poles - Updated: still great poles

I've been wearing carbon ATs for a little over a year, lots of day hikes and a few weeks of overnight trips. I love these poles. I started out with Pacemaker aluminum cork bars and while I prefer the cork ones, I prefer the carbon ones. Something about the weight and carbon softens the connection to the ground and that's really it for me. I would buy them again anytime and they're half the price of other carbon poles I've tried and they're no better. The clutch appears to be short lived but so…
