Outstanding mechanical design.

Works with solid or stranded wire. Clean the outlet pressure gauge. Keeping the wire straight, insert it into the hole provided. Holes are clearly marked and labeled. The hole guides the wire between the clamping plates. The wire is clamped with a stepped, pre-installed, non-removable screw. I even cut and scraped and used a guide right on the back of the socket. no So I tried screws. One of the screws on the side of the outlet was not screwed in properly - it was skewed so the screw would not turn forward or backward. I used a different set of screws but they have lock nuts/washers on the inside of the plastic case. So if you ever
