none are exact.

So I already have a thermometer that I knew was right. Four of me put it in the fridge - those four were about 7-12 degrees warmer. Not very helpful in a refrigeration/freezing situation - 10 degrees makes a huge difference to food safety!

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not sure

Only two out of four are accurate (+,-, 2 degrees Fahrenheit)

All four calibrated - placed in ice water for two minutes - should be 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Read 32,34,38,38. So two out of four are usable. The other two are garbage. There is no way to customize them. So for $10 I got two; not expensive yet. By the way, they are not waterproof.

What is the actual temperature?

Bought four packs. Arrived last night. I opened the package after bringing it in 20 degree weather. When I lined them up I saw three different temperatures. One is low, two are equal and one is high. The difference between high and low is 8-9 degrees. So I put them in the fridge overnight. I then checked the temperature of each thermometer with an infrared thermometer. All had the same temperature. Same conclusions as last night. It's time to send them back and pay for the quality.

Great for finding that frosty section of the fridge.

I've noticed that some groceries are freezing in our new fridge. I first placed all the sensors in the same area to make sure they had the same calibration. They all read the same so I could set the digital temperature on the fridge to the correct temperature zone. I then placed them around the fridge and found spots that were still too cold. Now I can keep some of the foods I didn't want to freeze (salads, eggs, fruits, veggies, etc.) in the right place. I use the frosty section of the fridge…

Good Value Fridge Thermometer

Calibrated against a digital reference thermometer, two out of four thermometers were almost within +- 1 deg C. One was off by 2 deg but fairly consistent. Only one of them had a different slope that was the most difficult to use. I ran a linear regression on the data and compared the results to readings taken at sub-freezing temperatures and the numbers agree fairly well to within +-1C. So I put this regression calibration data in a spreadsheet just for the sake of convenience. So all 4…

Totally useless, no accuracy

I bought a pack of 4 of these and put them side by side in my fridge to test. I even mixed them up and moved them from place to place because I know different places in your fridge have different temperatures. That's why I started with everyone together first. But! Each of the four reports a different temperature! Depending on how you look at it, my fridge is 31, 34, 36 or 39 degrees. Basically it's useless. If 2 of them reported the same temp I could at least assume they were accurate and just

They work very well!

There's nothing wrong with that. Cheap, simple, accurate and analogue. I knew what I was buying so I wasn't disappointed. I would buy digital fridge and freezer thermometers if they were more consistent in their actions. They are ideal for temperature control in the fridge and freezer. I bought four packs. drawer at the bottom of the fridge. You can move them around to find out where the warmest and coolest spots are in your fridge. I've always believed that the doors are the warmest part of…

Sometimes you get more than you pay for and this is one of those times!

I prefer a traditional freezer over a fridge. It's important to keep the freezer between 0 and 5 degrees Fahrenheit and I want my fridge to stay between 35 and 37 degrees if possible. I used them to check and monitor the temperature in my newly purchased fridge freezer. Putting one in the freezer and three in the fridge (in separate locations) helped me set up the temperature controls and make final adjustments to get the desired temperatures of 35F in the fridge and 0F in the freezer. Although
