Terrible Sound Redefined

UPDATE: They got worse, like a headache causing amplification. This means that Revane's route failed twice. Either I have to recycle this old MacBook or I have to buy used original speakers on eBay. Pooh. I went with the cheaper option and they were so lame I had to remove them. This was my second choice and they aren't great but not bad enough to get me in trouble again.

fits my MacBook late 2012

I had to replace my original speakers because they fell apart after so many years. It was a great replacement and along with a youtube video they were easy to install. You have to disassemble almost the entire laptop, but I'm not afraid to disassemble it. The only thing is that the cabling is a bit longer than it should be and when I closed my laptop one of the cables got kinked and broke. Luckily I can solder and was able to fix it. Read this before you buy to save some money

The speakers worked great, now I don't have to connect a Bluetooth speaker to hear commentary and follow directions. But I only installed one speaker, the left one. The reason is that the right one was too difficult (need to take out the motherboard) and then needed a special screwdriver which I didn't have so I didn't use it. I have no problems with the left speaker, probably because it consists of two components, a speaker and a woofer, and is therefore probably more powerful. So you can save

Great replacement for MacBook A1278 speakers at end of life

I have a 13" MacBook A1278 (Mid 2011). The right speaker started failing 6 months ago. I did a little research and found speaker repair recommendations online. I followed the instructions to fix the correct speaker. It worked fine for a couple of weeks, then it started stalling again, and then the left speaker nearing the end of its life.
