So far so good. It was easy to assemble and looked great on the wall. There were cheaper options, but this one had better specs, including clamping voltage. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for built in surge protection. HOWEVER, make sure you have or have installed a DEEP wall mount for this outlet. It takes up little space and I'm not sure it will fit in a standard sized wall group.

I bought two of these for my wall mounted TV to protect my investment. They appear to be quality machines and this was the best GFI output I could find. They are expensive and I would like to see copper wire instead of solid aluminum wire. My good wall TVs were fine and didn't suffer.

I have several of these to protect wall mounted TVs. The quality on the back is a little lacking and bulky and the item might need some work, especially at this price point. I wish it was more in line with the quality and form factor of the slim GFCI socket. That being said, with the bulky backing and wire nuts required, it was extremely difficult to fit into my electrical box. You will need a box that is more square or deeper inside than the standard box to fit well.

It worked! A year ago there was a power surge in my house that caused almost $1,500 in damage to my refrigerator and freezer. Hang one of these on the wall before I wheeled the new fridge into place and I'm glad I did! Excellent product. Note that I ordered one of these and it never showed up. After waiting over a month I finally canceled the order and placed a new order. It showed up in due course. I was also concerned that it might not fit in a box but was glad it did. It's a tight fit, but not an unreasonable one.
