This is my first separate lens camera. I've always loved the Lumix brand and the picture quality has always been exceptional. It took me a while to get used to carrying around a wide-angle and a telephoto lens, but I can't get over how light this set is compared to the Canon I use at work, which is so heavy that I hate taking it everywhere. I had my doubts at first because I love my old Lumix with the 20x optical zoom, but this one takes it a step further with an adjustable LCD panel, which I…

Quality camera for digital cameras

For the last 50 years I have had a Roliecord, a twin lens reflex, a Linhof Technica 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 press camera and several Olympus 35mm SLRs, but for about 15 Over the years I have relied on several point and shoot digital cameras. I wanted to improve my photos, but I didn't like the size and bulkiness of DSLRs. I need an eye-level viewfinder due to my age and tremors, and the foldable 3-inch screen is a real benefit at certain shooting angles. The camera is very easy to use in both manual mode

BIG COMPLIMENTS CAMERA FOR BMPCC!

I bought this camera on a SUPER sale and it was the only one in stock. This camera takes beautiful pictures and the fact that it's a Micro Four Thirds and I can use this camera's lens on my BMPCC and vice versa is a nice achievement. If you are a beginner or an intermediate photographer, this is the perfect option. I also know some professional photographers who use this camera on set. This is generally in line with the price range, and the versatility is undeniable, the camera reigns supreme…

Great for the price?

In the past I have had Canon 20-30-40-D with 24-70 2.8L and 70-200 2.8L IS and 100mm 2.8 macro. I've been selling them for 3 years. back because I never took them anywhere! 2 months ago I discovered the m4/3 system. I bought G3 and 14mm 2.5. I've since added 25mm PL and 45 1.8 Oly. These lenses on the G3 are identical in every way to the previous system (with a different focal length) except I carry them in a small shoulder bag with me everywhere! Add some quality lenses (I like the 60mm Oly…

A very good camera on camera & photo

I bought it at a very good price in early 2013 after the release of the G5. My only other Micro Four Thirds camera is the E-PL1, which I bought refurbished to see if I liked the format. Initially I was gravitated towards the Olympus because of the built in optical image stabilization which I think is quite important. But after buying two Panasonic telephoto lenses with optical image stabilization built in, I saw this camera for sale, just the body, with a built in viewfinder and flash, and I…

Awesome shots but no camera if you want to improve your personal skills

I wanted a camera that would take great pictures in low light without a flash. I'm a historian and I spend a lot of time in libraries, museums, etc. At the time, this camera was considered the best for this type of photography. I have some great pictures and can play around with photo editors to enhance the text. One problem is that the paper of older documents does not have a consistent color tone. The repositories don't allow flash, so the ability to work in low light is important. This…
