Panasonic DMR-E30S DVD Recorder with Progressive Scan Review

Bought E30 and very disappointed. This technology is very promising. The DVD-RAM disc cannot be played on any player other than this unit or a device that can read DVD-RAM. Most DVD players do not have this feature. DVD-Rs cannot be rewritten after the disc has been finalized, limiting their use as VCR replacements. I will return it and buy a Philips that supports DVD+R and +RW which does the magic of DVD burning.
