This works on DVD players

I was able to easily connect this DVD player to my TV using my old DVD player's HDMI cable. Disconnecting the old one and connecting the new one took about a minute. It also comes with colored plugs in case you need them. It also has a remote control and batteries. It has an adapter on the plug so it can be used here in the US or in the UK. When I turn it on, it turns on the TV and plays whatever region DVD I put in, it just recognizes it. Exactly what I wanted and at a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Playable discs: DVD-R*/DVD-R DL*/DVD-RW*, +R*/ +R DL*/ +RW*, MP3, JPEG,CD, CD-R/- RW , Xvid, SVCD
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Check it or change the PAL/NTSC setting before sending it back.

At first I was disappointed when it was stated on the back of the device (DVD-S700) that it was only for region 2 discs (Europe + Japan) and only works from the mains 220V -240V, 50Hz system. The instruction manual seemed to confirm this and I was close to returning the device. But I took the advice of another reviewer here and gave it a try despite what was written on the device and in the instructions. I was glad IT JUST WORKED. It automatically adjusts to 110V, NTSC and Region 1 discs. And…

Cons
  • Slightly torn

Broke in less than two months

In September I bought two Panasonic DVD players, this one and another for multiple regions. Both are the same model. I used this for a few days and it worked fine. Then I stopped for a while and started watching the DVR. Today I went back to watch the DVD again and found the unit wouldn't turn on. I've tried everything. I thought it might be a plug because the multiregion has a different plug type and uses an adapter to fit US outlets. I thought it might also be related to the HDMI input I use…

  • 1080p upconverter/ 108MHz/12bit DAC/ Dustproof design/ Power recovery/ Xvid/ USB compatible/ Black finish
