I bought the base station and two handsets 2 years ago and one of the handsets stopped working completely after 1.5 years. After a year we replaced the batteries in all the phones, but one of the phones ran out of power very quickly (we charged for 6 hours and the charge took 10 minutes) and then stopped working. This is a good phone and works well with our VOIP setup - remodeling the house was a hassle. The range seems good enough - the base station is in the basement and easily covers the two main floors and the yard outside. Good quality. I bought a couple of these units to expand my KX-TG5100 base unit. Setup was easy, as was phonebook syncing. The tubes are identical to those supplied with the base unit. I've found hands-free calling on phones to be a great feature. I also like the simplicity of the user interface.
