Terrible VCR that's not worth it

My analysis of this product showed that it's bulky, outdated, and not user-friendly. It's nearly impossible to program and the picture quality is subpar. However, the only good thing about it is that it has a 4 head Hi-Fi system. Overall, I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Pros
  • Excellent playback and recording quality with 4-head design and Hi-Fi sound capabilities.
Cons
  • Occasional reliability issues reported by some users.

Great picture but outdated remote control and VCR functions

This product offers excellent picture quality even when using older home recorded programmes. However, there are many features that are no longer up to date - mostly removed. For example, there is no mute button, there is no option to "skip" to the previous channel, the channel buttons are very small, the toggle control is a waste of space (I'd rather press the button at any time). As for the recorder itself, the ability to program only 8 recordings ONE DAY to record is at least 10 years out of

Pros
  • 4 head system with built in head cleaner
Cons
  • boring packaging

MORE CURRENT REVIEW

Although I did not own this VCR (4600 series) I did own its direct successor and this VCR has stood the test of time under heavy use and me had no problems with it at all. It looked almost exactly like this one. And usually the old ones are better built. And I'm looking from the perspective of 2010 as opposed to their two reviews in 2000. Since this VCR doesn't have many reviewers, two is a bad sample to tell it's no good. I would lean towards Revains' own review on the same site - which is a…
