good at what it does

This camera is good at what it does. This isn't a $400 camcorder that shoots flawless movies. This is a great little camcorder, small enough to take with you and use. I had other video cameras and they were often left at home. This is with me everywhere. The sound is very good. I use it at music events and am very happy with it. The 10x optical zoom is more than adequate for most situations. The only drawback is the included software. I don't like it very much. Just change the file from .mod to

Great video and very practical

I bought this camera last week and use it indoors and outdoors with my family. I found it very easy to use and the video quality is excellent. You can choose between low quality (longer recording time, up to 3 1/2 hours on a 4GB card), normal quality (about 1 hour and 1/2 on a 4GB card) and high quality video resolution (about 40 minutes). on one card) for 4 gigs). High resolution works great. I have used it for my sons lacrosse and baseball games and the picture is very clear and the camera is

Simple, durable, beautiful

Yesterday I took this to the gym and used it without special lighting, got a video of my trainer doing different exercises and then asked him to get a video of me how I make them. I didn't have to learn how to use the camera - he played with it and got good results and I immediately saw opportunities to improve my form. I would like him to buy an SD card and borrow my camera to see if it helps other customers. I walk my dog and take pictures of him digging on the golf course and chasing…

Works very well - almost five stars

I've had this camera for about a year now and it more than meets my needs. Instead of carrying around a large camera (which I wouldn't use), this panny fits nicely in a shirt pocket. As a result, I've made countless videos of my family's ice fishing trips, my kids' school trips, and my own work trips that I know I would never have filmed with a bigger camera. Despite what some here say, we found the video quality to be very good, whether you're watching on a 20-inch computer monitor or a…

Nice little camcorder

I have a nice little mini DV camcorder. However, I'm so tired of having to play a video to download it on my Mac. After hearing Andy Ignatko's rave reviews of this camera on MacBreak Weekly, I decided to give it a try. It creates .mod files which are a special form of MPEG-2. However, iMovie '08 has no problem porting them to Mac. It does what I wanted - almost no waiting to download a movie on Mac. And instead of importing everything I've recorded, I can just import any edits I want. This is a
