So far, so good! on tablets

Excellent value money compared to new . Runs and works well. I've only tried a few so far. I bought it to use on the deck of a sailboat for below deck remote PC access. It's not light or thin like a tablet, but it's much more durable. We'll see how it holds up in fairly harsh conditions. Can't beat the price.

Pros
  • 10.1" WUXGA (1920 x 1200) daylight readable (up to 800cd/m2) 10-point multi-touch display with digitizer
Cons
  • Not as good as it promises

More than I expected.

Works great so far. Also included is a wristband (worth $90) and a barcode scanner, which I didn't expect to get for free.

Pros
  • Spare battery for up to 8.5 hours of continuous use
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Very nice, rugged device

We're trying to replace much smaller (and outdated) rugged handhelds with something newer and something that can run Windows programs. It's a nice device, but it's really bigger than what we want to carry around, so we're more likely to opt for a 7-inch screen or a rugged phone-sized tool. This is a used tablet, so the battery is okay, but not optimal anymore.

Pros
  • IP65 dust and water resistant design
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Panasonic FZ-G1: great rugged tablet (+1 for Lombard's Proton Computers)

These 'refurbished' Windows tablets are a real find (note I didn't buy this particular offer, it's gone now). I was looking for a tablet with easily swappable batteries. , decent SSD size, microSD port, at least one USB port, Bluetooth, good WiFi and pretty solid. They are VERY solid (and therefore bulky). SSD, supports at least 128GB microSD (the largest I've tried) and has two sizes of removable batteries (one compact and one larger that protrudes a bit at the back) Note that they've been in…

Pros
  • USB 3.0 and HDMI; optional dedicated GPS, serial port, Ethernet, MicroSD or 2nd USB port
Cons
  • Clarity
