Note with this set that these sockets fit 3 different sizes of actuator/ratchet. Sockets E4-E8 use a 1/4" drive, E10-E16 use a 3/8" drive, and E18-E20 use a 1/2" drive. Of course you can always use an adapter, but unfortunately this kit doesn't come with one, which I consider an omission. The sockets themselves are very durable and seem to last a long time. Each rosette has the appropriate size engraved on the side for easy identification. They are also numbered on the inflated case forβ¦
One thing I can't stand is not having the right tools for any job I might encounter around the house. Although I don't deal with these types of fasteners that often, they then become a nightmare. When I saw her, I knew I had to grab her. They seem to be built really well and don't feel like they're going to break when you need to put a little "force" on the ratchet/head to break the stubborn ones. The feature I really like is that they come in their own box/case which was a real selling pointβ¦
I'm not proud of this but I am guilty of having used a standard Torx head in the past. It's always worked fine, but I've never had one that was really stuck or rusty. So I was lucky that it didn't slip and round the screw. But not anymore. This is a good set of 14 torx sockets from E4 to E24, perfect for the vast majority of my needs. The drive side varies from 1/4" to 1/2". I also recently bought a set of 7. Torx nozzles. So no more improvising with Allen keys. I should be well prepared forβ¦
