Works as advertised.

This allowed me to run my 240V welder without a dedicated 50A circuit. Obviously I couldn't run the welder at full power, but I never tripped the 30Amp switch when performing a performed weld. And the 5-foot length gave me just the right amount to reach the dryer's fork.

Pros
  • Welder
Cons
  • No output

Works great for welding and soldering

This little extension works great, I haven't had time to install a 50A socket for my welder, I've been able to get a lot of work done since I got this extension and when it did Plugged into my 30 amp dryer outlet it works great. The cable will not overheat or feel warm when pulled at high power.

Pros
  • Cable
Cons
  • High Price

Yes, it works best with Cord

That doesn't mean you can connect a dryer AND a welder. The welder is there because there are squint plugs at the outlet of the dryer. You plug it into the dryer socket, connect the Harbor Freight welder to the adapter and voila! Can be welded.

Pros
  • Welders and Accessories
Cons
  • Drill Kit
