The inserts are made of inferior material. Two inserts broke when installing in the walnut base. It's probably best to work with softer woods like pine. Screw parts look good and work well.

This is a good product and much cheaper than most others designed for the same purpose. However, you will need a 9/16" drill bit for installation if you want to avoid destroying the insert. The description is misleading.
