Plastic instead of metal for lights and accessories

These lights have a plastic body with a chrome finish, they are bright but I don't think they will last long as they are plastic. The semi-automatic option clearly states that the body is metal. I'm very unhappy

Great Headlights - Beacon Lights Assy

I ordered these for my dad, he put them on his car and they look great. Of course, one person ripped it off (but didn't take it, left it hanging), and another person rubbed his car and blew out the lights, trying to get through the double-parked car. I will probably order them again.
