This RAM kit looks very nice, but apart from the aesthetics I had no problems installing and using this RAM kit. I was able to enable my XMP profiles and take advantage of advertised speeds with no issues. I've used Patriot RAM in a pre-built PC I bought and had no problems, and having built my own I can still say I've had no problems. problems. On Black Friday I bought a set of Patriot Viper Steel Series 2x8GB 4133MHz RAM for the new Gigabyte Z390 Aurous Ultra MB build. When the build was complete I couldn't get the RAM to run at XMP speeds. I was able to overclock the RAM to 2666MHz fairly easily. After some research, I found out that MB uses a T-shaped topology for RAM, which can work better with all 4 RAM slots used. So I bought another 2x8GB set. I was able to do it with another similar 32GB Patriot kit overall with my Ryzen 5 3600 on an X470 mobile phone operate. It operates at 3666MHz at CL 16 at 1.38V and is stable after 10 hours of testing. I haven't tried using the XMP profiles as the other RAM I have is a bit slower than either of the profiles so I have to set the timings manually instead. I bought 2 pairs of this RAM (4133MHz) to pair with my 8700K@Z390 Aorus Ultra. I'd like to preface this review by saying that the motherboard I'm using is very bad at overclocking memory (but handles the CPU pretty well) and you have to win the silicon lottery to run four 4133MHz DIMMs in parallel with running the 8700K, meaning I just couldn't keep up.
