It was less than I expected. But we used shoes to support our door and that was much better. Bought this for my wife as a Christmas present and she loved it. It's not too heavy, but heavy enough to keep my door supported. If you have a heavier door you may need a heavier bag, or you can modify it to add more sand.

This item was cute and looked exactly like the product photos. But unfortunately it wasn't heavy enough to keep the fire door open. We've converted our garage into a playroom for the kids, but haven't replaced the heavy fire door yet and wanted something that would keep it open and not slam shut every time the kids get in or out. It sure would be great for an ordinary interior door. The search continues.
