No big deal - restricted airflow and inconsistent quality control

It's normal - they seem to restrict airflow a bit and aren't up to quality. Received a couple of these in a 6 pack, the valve part read was poorly placed or not fully connected. With the other devices, I've found that they restrict airflow a little more than other check valves I've used.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Some issues

Some are better than others

I only need two so I picked the ones that worked well. I have faint bladders on one side of the 2 pump outlet so I suspect either an air stone or a check valve. Well, first I replaced the valve and the flow got better. I actually saw a valve that can be opened and fixed inside if something doesn't work, but since I've already placed that order I kept it anyway. This guy is sealed.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Expensive

So we bought a new aquarium and during setup I had to turn off the power to the pump. I watched in panic as the water started to tumble down the catenary and then I found this on Revane. Since they were installed on the catenary, there have been no more problems since then. This simple little thing will solve that problem. If you're thinking about starting an aquarium, just grab a few. you will need them.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Expensive

I would not recommend it. waste of money!

UPDATE: So complete nonsense. 2 of these don't work and I'm going back. Don't even waste your money! So they're worth the money if you have a larger diameter air hose, I'm talking more than a standard air hose. Unfortunately 2 different airlines I tried didn't match these. I found one that worked if you were struggling with it, and even then it was only partially activated. The ends of the check valve really needed to be tapered to work properly. I hate to say it but you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • No machine gun

Photos tell a story!

The first picture shows what happens when the check valve is not connected and the air pump is in the floor. The second picture shows that the check valve is working properly. When the check valve is installed, water will not leak out. Figures 3 and 4 show the airflow with and without the check valve. You're trying to figure out what's what. πŸ˜ƒ In summary, all these reviews that these valves don't work and there is no airflow are all lies. The only thing you have to do when there is no flow is…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

UPDATE: NONE WORKS LONGER!

So I bought this product for a home project. I didn't want water getting back into my air pump so I installed it. It worked out of the box. BUT. It doesn't stay connected to the air line (maybe my air pump is too strong?). I have to repaste the line, just awkward to paste the line once a week. If they had done it with barbs, this would not have happened. PS I use RUBBER lines, not silicone. UPDATE: none of them work anymore, I checked my check valves by turning off the air compressor and the…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Good but not great

Each one failed within minutes

I received a package of 6 transparent valves. From the bag, 2 were obviously defective; I could easily suck air through the valve no matter which side I connected the hose to. I needed 2 for my project so I chose the 2 that seemed to be the best quality from the others and connected them and after a few minutes I noticed water dripping from the other end of the valve (and yes it correctly connected). I grabbed the second hose and gave it a little shake, noticing that water was slowly dripping…
