Like a Fish Outta Water

I actually bought this net to clean the skimmer basket in my in-ground pool. I used it almost every day during the summer until it came loose in one of the extension cords. I'm honestly surprised it took so long. Doesn't sound like "heavy duty", but somehow even the grille stayed intact. My 6 year old was torn to pieces trying to catch lizards. If you plan to use it for an aquarium, you won't find a better mesh for the price. If you use it for your pool, you can do better for a higher price.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some bugs

Very durable and doesn't seem to snag on my fish's fins. Solid +!

Serious lifesaver. Not only is it a lot dirtier than I expected because it's telescoping, it also reaches out really far. We all know how fast some fish can be, it's pretty cool to be extra long and be able to move fast in the tank. Also, this mesh material doesn't seem to stick to the fish's fins as much as my crappy PetSmart. I feel much more comfortable on this network than the other three networks I have. Pretty much the only one I currently use.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • There are problems

Perfect length for a 55 gallon tank!

I have a turtle in a 55 gallon tank. I have to remove leftover food or excrement every day. With the standard net, I had to dip my hand in the water to reach anything on the bottom. This net is just what I needed to scoop items from below without sticking my hand in the tank to get them. I am very happy. The net is very thin and catches small food crumbs. The only "complaint" I have is that the handle can fill with water, but this is probably inevitable due to the mechanics of the telescoping…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • boring packaging

Great fry net, but measure carefully.

This is a great little network. The handle slides out easily and the mesh is perfect. For this reason I give 5 stars. He does what he says and he does it well. However, pay attention to "little". This is exactly the size that is described but I didn't take a ruler and see what it means. It's perfect for juvenile fish but too small and shallow to easily catch even my big mollies. It's my fault, not the product's fault. My husband got me a larger non-telescopic handle net and it's a much better…
