I don't know what "self-warming" means. It's just a small square blanket. I thought it would warm like a heating pad. Like all duvets, it only warms with body heat that is not generated by the duvet. My cats don't care, one of them slept on it once.

Appearance is 5 stars, my cat is scared for some reason and I am having trouble getting him to sit on this thing but he is "slowly warming up" , let's say. 5 stars if he ends up using this thing. I could end up trying to turn Jimmy into a cat hammock and then he could actually use it.

I bought this for my cat Silky to keep her hair out of my sheets as she sheds all the time. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it makes a rustling noise when stepped on. She is shy and this sound scares her. But tomorrow I have a kitten that might like it. I just have to wait and see.

Our cat and little dog love this bed. It is very soft to the touch and warms to the touch. Does not heat up, heats up quickly when pets lie on it. I haven't had to clean it yet other than using a sticky roller to remove pet hair. which worked very well. It's not very thick, I put it on the carpet to make it softer for our adult dog.

A few years ago I bought similar beds from Dr. Foster and Smith. Since they're out of stock, I've been looking for something similar. They seem nice enough but are very thin and I'm not a fan of sherpa fabric on the back (I've never had one that washes well). I was hoping they would be as thick as the beds I've bought before. It will cost me more than $5 to return them, but that's the price of stores these days.

This product does indeed have a warning label stating that it is made from materials known to cause cancer, birth defects and birth defects. this is supposed to be a cat bed. Kittens already have low immunity (and the mother who just gave birth). So why trust anyone to use this bed for their kitties? Please do not jeopardize the health of your animals. Also, the product came in an open plastic bag with no seal, so it was probably a return. i will return it it is much less than advertised

Mine came with a crumpled top with one edge curled slightly. My kitten doesn't like it. Although it seems to me very soft and comfortable. The seller was a bit difficult to deal with when I mentioned these issues. This item was ordered as a no-return, no-questions-asked return. First, the seller offered a 5% discount, which was about 45 cents. After two more auctions I finally got a 25% discount which I accepted hoping the kitty would love it.
