Our adult cat loves it. He was always scratching sofas and bed frames, so that helped. We have the medium size and it was perfect, the larger size might fit a very large cat. The little ball is fun. The only complaint is that the cactus is only hard in the middle/bases, the small handles are not hard, they are soft and flexible, but the cat still likes to bite and spank them.

I ordered this post for my two cats and they absolutely love it! It was very easy to put together and the diagram showing assembly is pretty clear and easy to follow. Stand was exactly like the picture. Easy to assemble. I bought a larger pole and it turned out to be a lot shorter than I expected. The stand is solid and the cat loves it, but the tops are soft and won't support the weight so a cat or kitten can fall off and not scratch it. The tops slope down so the cat doesn't like to scratch there. The kittens liked it for a week or two until they were adults and then ignored it. If my cat could write a review of Pepperoni, she would say that this is the best her serf has bought. My cat loves this cactus. Half the time I go to the cactus room, I find Pepperoni with a blank look in her eyes as she hugs the cactus. beeeeee stretch it. She also likes to randomly run towards the cactus to hit that silly little ball. Looks good, enjoy. My kitten, Señorita Snoops-Much, attacked him before I even put him together. yes she loves it Assembly took no more than a few minutes. I've only had it for a week so can't comment on durability but seems sturdy enough. I don't expect the hanging ball to last long. She tried to bite through the taut thread, and of course she would have done so immediately if I hadn't hidden it in one of the branches of the cactus. I went with the taller of the two which was a good challenge.
