Stand was exactly like the picture. Easy to assemble. I bought a larger pole and it turned out to be a lot shorter than I expected. The stand is solid and the cat loves it, but the tops are soft and won't support the weight so a cat or kitten can fall off and not scratch it. The tops slope down so the cat doesn't like to scratch there. The kittens liked it for a week or two until they were adults and then ignored it. Cats scratch the ground but prefer straight cheap posts. I don't think either of them went for the ball because it was too close to the post and the same color as it didn't catch their attention. Your cat or kitten might like it, but I wasn't impressed.
