What not to do: Foot and hand care

I was hoping to use it at night to apply lotion before bed. They don't look like the preview image at all. One glove has a hole along the seam between the thumb and forefinger after one night's wear. Don't worry if you are a bell ringer or anything else orchestra related as you can easily see through the glove. I can see my nail polish clearly in bright light. This keeps my hands painfully cracked and suffering from winter eczema until I find better gloves. :-/

Some good qualities; some not so good

These gloves can leave lotion on dry hands at night but they don't feel like cotton at all (as shown in the picture). A really good thing about them is that they're stretchy enough to fit big hands or people with long fingers, but also work surprisingly well for small hands (hmmm, which pure cotton gloves most likely won't do). I haven't had any stitching holes that others have complained about; However, they seemed cheap at $7.

Cons
  • Not bad but...

Stinky Stinky with Vaseline

I smeared Vaseline with cocoa butter on my hands and put on gloves before I went to bed. When I got up in the morning and took off my gloves, my hands had such a terrible smell. Next time I'll look out for 100% cotton gloves if they still make them. I might try a different type of moisturizer tonight, but to be honest I'm afraid to try anything else because it took me a long time to get that smell off my hands.

  • Useless Features

No more dry and cracked hands!

I am a nurse and I wash my hands often during the day. In winter they dry out and crack. I use A&D ointment every night but have found they are not getting better. My friend suggested wearing cotton gloves. So I bought them and saw a big difference. Also, A&D doesn't leave a greasy residue on sheets, pillowcases, etc. The only reason I'm NOT giving these gloves 5 stars is because of the workmanship. That's pretty bad. Not sure how long a pair will last, but since I only use it at night I'm…

Great for moisturizing

After reading a recommendation to use vitamin E oil to fix permanently peeling nails, I bought them so the oil would have time to soak in and not rub off anything I came in contact with. They work great. After applying oil to my fingertips, I dress them up and go to bed. They're light enough that my hands don't get hot and I don't see any traces of oil on the sheets. Although I'm still a bit far from completely solving my dry nail problem, I've noticed an improvement in the last month.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Slightly chipped

Very poor quality. I got gloves and socks a few years ago, the fabric is thicker, better, the seams are good, the size is normal. They fit me perfectly. They are huge and tumble drying didn't change anything. They are perfect for my husband's slightly swollen hands. The old ones in the photo are badly soiled from heavy use over several years, but the difference in size is obvious.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging
