It gets the job done and comes with a full and half height plate. It comes unassembled and you need to connect the mounting plate to the board.

Uses SATA slot with M.2 SATA drive. I connected the supplied cable to the motherboard. Flawless install and boot of Ubuntu 18.04. I haven't tried the NVMe side. Behaved 100% as expected.

I have about six of these on different systems. They all work great. Install and plug in an m.2 drive and you have fast storage. I add a heatsink to all mine (on the drive before I install it). This helps avoid slowdowns due to hard drive overheating.
