Description of PD Sixty Magnetic Seam Gauge

Place on your metal needle plate, with the straight edge parallel to the machine's feed dogs, to mark your desired seam allowance. Great for use as a seam guide when your needle plate does not have any measured guiding lines on it.

Faulty Magnetic Tool Ruins Sewing Experience

Based on my observations, this magnetic gauge failed to hold securely on my sewing machine, causing distractions during my arts and crafts session. The lack of durability also led to it breaking after just a few uses. The only pro is that it is a useful tool when it actually works. Unfortunately, the cons outweigh any potential benefits.

Pros
  • Strong magnetic hold ensures accuracy in measuring and marking fabric.
Cons
  • May damage fabrics if used too roughly or without care.

The only downside I have is that the magnet is not glued to the metal case and two pieces of rubber that were wedged on each side of the magnet fall out. When you are about to fire, the seam stopper is removed leaving the magnet attached to the machine. Gorilla Glue and I have a party and permanently…
