Description of πŸ” Peachtree Finder: Uniting Pieces for Effective Center Finding

Quickly locates the center for turning stock and other applications. Maximum 8" round, octagon & square; and 5-3/4" hexagon. This center finder is made of impact-resistant plastic. A must have for all woodturners and woodworkers alike!. You can depend on this device providing you with precision centering on your work stock. This handy tool allows you to quickly and easily pinpoint the exact center of Circular, square and octagonal-shaped stock (sized up to 8") and hexagonal-shaped stock (sized up to 5-3/4"). Inaccurate estimating will be a thing of the past. Enjoy the satisfaction of creating symmetrical woodworking projects. Its lightweight construction of rugged, impact-resistant plastic makes for easy usability and long-lasting durability. In addition, the clear quality of the plastic insures optimal visibility. The center Finder features two v-stops, one on either side, for enhanced versatility. The 60-degree v-stop is ideal for Circular shapes, and the 90-Degree v-stop is great for square, Octagonal, hexagonal and Circular shapes as well. Simply set stock firmly against the V- stop of the device, and score your first line using the Straightedge guide, rotate stock 90-Degrees and mark your second line. The point where the perpendicular lines cross reveals the true center. To center ovals and rectangles, simply adjust the workpiece higher up on the v-fence to accommodate for the longer side of the shape when scoring the perpendicular line. It's a wood Turner's dream but it is also ideal in a wide variety of woodworking, jewelry-making and other professional and diy applications.

Huge thing - measuring and marking tools

This thing is huge it's really good as a center finder or if you need a plastic gun. To kid. But I'm very happy with it, just wish it was a little cheaper. Works as it should. Facilitates the search for the center. I can't wait to try it out in a magazine as it's quite large.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons

I wish I had bought it sooner!

Cool Stuff! You can find the center of almost any shape in seconds. I use it on squares, rectangles and circles with great success! Very easy to use and the perfect size for my 12 inch projects. I was worried that he wouldn't be able to do small things, but he very much can! I wouldn't be surprised if you can use it to find the center of the ball.

Indispensable for all hobbyists, especially for lathes.

A great tool for anyone who needs to find the center of something, especially unusual shapes or ones where the center is usually difficult to find. I do quite a bit of woodworking on a lathe, so I often have to find the middle. Prior to this purchase, it can be a little tedious to find the exact center with various other devices, which can result in the project being off-center. I believe they make 2 different sizes so make sure it works for your projects before you buy. A must-have item for…

I don't know what I did without this tool!

I draw mandalas on small 3.5 inch plaster stones that I cast myself. Finding the center is a basic requirement for a mandala. If you get it wrong by even a fraction, it will ruin your entire design. Finding a center on these stones was particularly difficult as they slope down the entire edge. This tool is a lifesaver for me! Just put a round stone, mark 3 lines and the intersection of these lines is a dead point. I also used it on a square canvas - again perfect. This tool works on small…

Many parts of the work suddenly become easier.

See you're reading reviews about the center viewfinder. Of course you're wondering if this is going to work (it will, by the way), but let's be honest. Your first question is whether it's worth spending the bulk of $10 on something that can be done fairly well with a ruler. Let me tell you: it is. There are about zero tasks that require this tool, otherwise they cannot be completed. .but there are also about zero tasks that *can* use the center finder and be done just as accurately, just as…
