This product was advertised as an Original Pear Soap and the ingredients were listed as Palmitate, Natural Rosin, Glycerin Water, Sodium Cocoate, Rosemary Extract, Thyme. Extract, essence of pear aroma. these are the original ingredients of the pear soap. The product I received contains over 20 ingredients, none of which are rosemary extract, thyme extract and pear essence.

My family and I have used pear blossom and lemon soap for many years. It has a pleasantly light scent of fresh lemon and gently cleanses the skin without leaving any residue. We first discovered it for 99 cents many, many years ago and have been using it ever since. Lately (the sent lemon flower) has been hard to find. I always use pears as they don't make my skin greasy or shiny. Like most men, I lather my hands and wash my face with my hands (this guy doesn't have a washcloth) and my face always looks clean and fresh. I usually wash my face several times a day because I'm very active in sports like cycling or other household projects and my face never feels dry. So it has the right balance of moisturizing oils for those who wash their face. several times a day without making the skin greasy or shiny.

When I received my order and opened the first bar, I found that this soap was different than the ones I had previously bought. Other users have indicated that the product was sold to a different company and there are some differences. PARTICULARLY original taste. Sorry, this is a really BIG DEAL for me. Reviewers complaining about dryness or praising the soap for "feeling clean" is because of the isopropyl alcohol in the soap. The alcohol strips your skin of all the oils that can make you feel clean. Not recommended for people with normal or sensitive skin.

Bought after reading the description and composition in the description section. The composition includes rosemary extract, thyme extract, aromatic pear essence. But soap has none of that. Lever Limited, which has been making this soap for decades if not centuries, has outsourced production to Hindustan Lever Limited. I love Pears soap and was itching to try these lemon blossom scented bars. Unfortunately, the scent is disappointing. Not sure how to classify it, but it smells vaguely of industrial cleaner. I will be returning to the regular Pears soap as soon as possible.
