This product is not dishwasher safe, do not rub it at all! Another tip: do not write in the cup, as the liquid can spill into the drink when you stir it. The pen is reasonably easy to use, but often smudges and/or writes very poorly. I wouldn't recommend anything other than decorative. When using something that needs washing, be careful not to write anywhere that food or drink will come into contact.

I brought these as a birthday gift to make a mug and I couldn't give them away because the designs keep coming off even after doubling the time in the oven! I "baked" the painted cups twice (the second took double the time) and then scratched a bit with my fingernail to make sure it worked and was easy to remove! Very sad and disappointed about that :(

I love this pen but it can be messy to work with. I used it to try and set up some circles and should have gone with a dot marker instead. But whenever I messed something up and had to wash it off, it created a very difficult mess to clean with little bits all over it. Otherwise the color is holding up very well! I tried scratching a bit with my fingernail after leaving it for two days and nothing worked. So I'll give it a try and see how long it lasts.

I like it, but I think I should have bought a thin tip. The bullet tip makes a thicker impression. However, I've used handles on glass gems and found that I have to go through the words after drying so I have a solid line. I'm sure if I used the holds more often I could improve my technique. I like this product a lot. I wanted to write on plates and mugs to personalize gifts. I was told this can be done with a felt tip pen, so that's not true. The marker was washed off immediately after baking, and it seemed unsafe to put food on it. This pen worked great!
