Damaged Dog Food Cans

Pedigree was just a great product but there must be an 800 lb gorilla to deliver. Drivers must be pissed if I buy a 12 can case and it's heavy. Not all banks are like that, but about 5 out of 12 were.

Pros
  • Industry Best
Cons
  • Expensive

This batch made my dogs sick!

All 3 of my dogs that ate this batch of food vomited. I've bought the same brand, size, and flavor from Walmart before, so I'm guessing it's a batch. All 3 vomited. There is no fever or other symptoms other than an inability to contain it. Including the image of the numbers on the bench.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Whether this product is the best for my pets seems to be a moot point.

Too many negative customer reviews about broken cans and dogs getting sick from using this product. I like the egg and bacon mix because my dogs like the mix best, but I will continue to buy Alpo because of all the pedigree complaints that worry me? I can also get an egg and bacon flavored mix with Alpo! I have fed Alpo to my pets (2 Chihuahuas) and have never had any health problems? Although I thought trying out Pedigree might change the taste of my favourites, I think it's wiser to stick…

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • Requires outlet

Great value for money and less carrying heavy cans from store to home.

On the plus side the great price and door to door delivery rather than lugging it from the grocery store to the car and home. The dog has always liked this taste. The only downside is the inability to avoid dinged cans, which sometimes causes problems for the can opener. However, the problem is not big. With dog food prices increasing, this was the best price. I'm well over 60 so lugging 12 large cans like this can be a chore and stores always seem to put large cans on the bottom shelf…

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Hardly ever

A great success in our house. Our older Golden Retriever has a very sensitive digestive system and even the high quality food I fed him was beyond his tolerance. The prescription canned food (Purina Pro Plan Gastroenteric EN) was outrageously expensive, so I had to find canned food that he could eat as a supplement to the prescription kibble. This basic formula works very well; once our dog got used to it we no longer had the overwhelming bloating that drove us out of the house and it didn't…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Exchange availability

Cans are always broken

I've tried different types of dog food that don't hurt my kids' tummy and pedigree is the only thing they can handle. The jars are pretty expensive individually in store so I figured getting them from Revain was a pretty good deal. I save about half the price. However I have ordered about 10 times and five different flavors more than once for each flavor and each time the jars have always been broken or badly dented in the box. It doesn't matter if I have a whole closet full of stuff that's…

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Some bugs

Shadow LOVES it! in wet

I don't eat it so I can't vouch for the taste but Shade does! She has been eating dry dog food for years with no problems. She started losing weight and got off at 47 pounds. up to 37 pounds and I had trouble getting her to eat. I even started feeding her ground beef and eggs to get her appetite back. Then I put her on different canned wet food. She ate briefly, but then stopped eating and stopped eating. I ended up donating a few boxes of food, which she started eating but then got tired. When

Very unusual canned dog food

About a year later I found out that my 45 pound outdoor dog was burying bits of this pedigree strain deep in the yard to come back to later, lord knows in what condition. When Ruby was younger she could eat big chunks of "bricks" right out of the can, but of course as I got older I started breaking it up more for her and always adding some wet food. Then she suddenly stopped eating it, leaving it so that after a couple of hours I would find maggot eggs on it, and therefore I generally refused…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not all fit
