Description of Penn Plax Second Generation AquaTerrium

INNOVATIVE: The AquaTerrium Fish Tank features 2 chambers that harmonize as 1 biological ecosystem, allowing for multiple freshwater species to coexist independently. This piece will add excitement and wonder to any home or office!. HARMONIZED SYSTEM: The tiered setup replicates Nature’s metabolic cycle. The plants absorb fish waste as nourishment, and purify the water in return, which is beneficial for the fish. AQUATIC LIFE: Each chamber can easily hold Nano Fish. Great for Bettas, Tetras, Danios, Barbs, Rasboras, Small Crustaceans, and Shrimp. AQUAPONIC SETUPS: The rear chamber is perfect for containing live plants and creating a Refugium. AQUATIC PLANTS: Works with all submersible plants, including: Anubias, Chain Sword (Narrow Leaf), Indian Red Sword, and Dwarf Baby Tears. Overpriced, Poor Design for Fish

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I would venture to say that this product is not worth the price .The design doesn't benefit the fish and can actually cause stress. The only positive is that it looks nice as a decoration. However, the cons far outweigh any aesthetic appeal. Overall, not recommended FOR serious fish owners..

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design that adds aesthetic value to any room.
Cons
  • The size of the AquaTerrium may prove to be too small for some aquatic creatures, limiting the types of fish and plants that can be kept inside.

Disappointing Aquarium Choice

This aqua-terrarium was a poor investment for my fish. The water filtration system didn't work as promised and the tank WAS difficult to clean. As my tests showed, the temperature fluctuated too much, making it hard to maintain the proper environment for my pets .While it looks nice and is sold in the Pet Supplies section, I wouldnt recommend this product to other aquatic pet owners..

Pros
  • Nice appearance.
Cons
  • Poor water filtration, difficult to clean, temperature fluctuation.

This is a pretty cool aquarium! Looks well assembled, very well packaged. I bought it to try my hand at aquaponics and to raise some roosters. Having rooster fish in each section of the tank and sharing the circulating water is great. The pump is almost silent and the "waterfall" from the rear reservoir to the front makes a pleasant soft trickle sound. (It can be easily dampened by putting something spongy under the stream that goes into the front reservoir.) As for male use, there is a section

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Compatibility
