Inexpensive but worth the investment for a Pentax owner

I needed a custom flash for my K-50. Its TTL capabilities make work easier. In the photo below, I shot a candy for a friend's wedding. When it comes time to upgrade my camera body, I know this flash will be there. I've come to the conclusion that flashes and lenses should match manufacturers, it makes the integration seamless.

Excellent flash and extremely efficient

Another winner from Pentax. I bought this flash when I had some big family events (weddings) where they wanted to take some pictures of the reception and the families. Hey, great excuse for new camera gear, right? I was concerned about flash performance as fairly large groups will be involved and you need a more powerful flash to evenly cover an area like this. I use this for indoor photography and prefer AV mode, but even with jitter reduction I don't trust it to produce really sharp images at these slow shutter speeds. So I have to use TAV mode set to 1/100-1/160 and f6.3-8.0 with auto max ISO at 800 and it works fine. In P or TV mode, it automatically chooses the widest…

Very easy to use device

Just got this to replace my Metz flash. Metz had a defective battery compartment and contacts that fell apart after very little use. This pentax flash is fairly new and an upgrade from older versions. The flash is very easy to use, the manual seems fairly complete and well written, and the flash fits my Pentax K-5II much better and is better balanced than the Metz flash. Actually, Metz Flash is too high. This Pentax flash also has more power than the Metz flash. Some reviews of Pentax flashes…
