Review on πŸ“Έ Pentax AF360FGZ II Flash: A Versatile Companion for Pentax DSLR Cameras by Gary Shakeone

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very easy to use device

Just got this to replace my Metz flash. Metz had a defective battery compartment and contacts that fell apart after very little use. This pentax flash is fairly new and an upgrade from older versions. The flash is very easy to use, the manual seems fairly complete and well written, and the flash fits my Pentax K-5II much better and is better balanced than the Metz flash. Actually, Metz Flash is too high. This Pentax flash also has more power than the Metz flash. Some reviews of Pentax flashes were a bit negative due to a battery cover issue where the battery door would not close completely and would open unexpectedly and the batteries would fall out. From the looks of it, this new Pentax flash fixes every possibility of that happening. The flash itself rotates far enough, both horizontally and vertically. I think the horizontal rotation direction has been added with this new update. This upgraded Blitz should also have a metal base that makes it more powerful. I might add more here if I get a chance to actually test this breakout. But so far everything has worked very well. Now I would like to say that the menu system, buttons, controls etc on this flash appear to be of the same quality as on my Pentax cameras. I have Pentax K-5II and Pentax K10D cameras. The K-5II is worth it, but the K10D is still a good camera.
