Pentax SMCP-D FA 50

Bought this lens for low light macro photography. I'm really amazed at the sharp images that can be obtained. The build quality of the lens is excellent and will last for years.

Excellent for the low price

This lens is easier to use and has more features than the more expensive Canon lens I used with my Canon Rebel, a camera I no longer own. The only complaint I have is that the focus lock easily slides into the "lock" position, which prevents the camera from focusing manually or automatically.

UNDERSTAND PENTAX CORRECTLY!

I have had this lens for a little over a week. I've used it daily and I'm impressed with the IQ. I was very impressed with the autofocus at close range. I have a Tamron 90mm macro that really hunts up close. The DA lens snaps on and locks quickly. IQ, color reproduction, sharpness, bokeh, handling - all excellent. Only the WR version remains. Can I recommend this lens? Definitely.
