Great handles, very juicy

I bought these for my sister but I can't help but try them. They definitely compete with the hard fudenosuke tip I've used. It doesn't seem as hard as Tombow (like a medium hard one?) and the ink is very "juicy". It bled a little through my thick paper. That's the only reason I put a star on it. However, I love them and plan to buy more for myself! Small letters on these pins. The large lettering is a pen with a double tombow brush.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

Great, comfortable grips!

These brush pens are highly recommended! I, an aspiring calligrapher, just bought these brush pens two days ago. They are already very easy to use and manage and I'm glad I invested in these pens. The colors are bright, it is easy to get thin and thick lines. However, I would say that since the pen tip is so small, it might be easier to spot errors or jitters in your upstrokes, making errors more noticeable. Nevertheless, I can warmly recommend these pens to both beginners and professionals…

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Nothing here

Good brush pens for beginners

I chose these for Becky's Modern Calligraphy course set with HappyEverCrafter and for use in the 2021 Happy Love Letters Planner. I like the colors and that it's smaller than different brands of dual brush pens. They are spelled the same as tombow fudenosuke "soft" or zebra "thin", thicker/heavier than fudenosuke "hard" or zebra "extra thin". Zebra and Tombow don't do this, but are great for heavier tracing paper or marker paper. (Photos on thick tracing paper)

Pros
  • Many make
Cons
  • too dull

Has enabled me to paint with the brush.

Oooooh boy! It is great! I mean they are great! I got so frustrated trying to swipe ink with traditional brush tipped pens that I was close to giving up. This allows me to get used to the technique before having to learn how to lighten the strokes. I'm not even sure I'll ever try traditional brush tips again. I've found they don't make a good clean line on paper with large teeth. I like the heavy tooth in my bullet journal because I want to be able to draw with and use my crayons, although to…

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

My favorite brush pens!

I love Pentel Fude Touch Sign Pens! They are one of my favorites for fine brush lettering. Pentel has two very similar pens, one with a brush tip and the other with a felt tip, just FYI so you won't be surprised with a different pen than what you expected. This pen will stay "juicy" for quite a long time as long as you write on high quality, smooth paper that doesn't absorb ink. The tip is about as flexible as the Tombow Fudenosuke soft-tipped brush pen, definitely more flexible than the Tombow

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other models

Great for handwriting but not permanent ink

When I ordered these brushes I didn't have high hopes that I could use them for handwriting. What a pleasant surprise! They're even better than the recommended small brush pens (sorry, forgot the name) that all books recommend for fine writing. The "spring" in the tip is more flexible to help transition from heavier to lighter line. The colors are beautiful, bright and "juicy" (a popular word among artisans these days). The only thing that worries me isn't Pentel's fault, it's that I don't have

Pros
  • Comfortable to use

Great entry-level pens

I've been doing lettering for a little less than 6 months, but in that time I've bought several (too many!) pens. These are my favorites at the moment. I find these Pentel brushes have a bit more power than the Tombow Fudenosuke pens so the letters aren't as thin. This amount of recoil was exactly what I was looking for because I still have enough control and can easily hit good thin serves and heavy hits with them. This gives the lettering a more modern look. The Tombow Fudenosuke grips are a…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
