My second shaving brush. I've been using Vulfix for 7 or 8 years and finally decided to keep it as part of a special travel kit and look for a new brush for the house. Seems well made, I didn't notice the major hair loss some have mentioned. Also a note: I remember when I first started wet shaving I read a lot of information about Badger and Blade and one of the things I was told was that you should wash your comb with regular hair shampoo from time to time. This brush is definitely needed now.

Didn't expect much from this brush given its price. However, I assume that the products will work and not fall apart for several weeks after ordering. I ordered a few months ago and I use this brush all the time. Hair is still falling out to this day (a break period is to be expected, but not months of use). I have no idea about fancy expensive shaving brushes. The brush that this brush replaces was a Father's Day gift I bought from a local store and has lasted me 40 years. This one's definitely better than that. It's easy to handle, has a fairly satisfying lather, isn't too soft, and doesn't pill. I am 100% satisfied. I would buy it again but I will be surprised if I ever need it.

If you have never used a shaving brush, now is the time. It is great. A few tips: Don't buy shaving soap. Difficult to find in stores and this is an unjustified price. Use a good shower soap (Tone Original is ideal, available from Revain) and if the shower soap is small enough to bend over, put it in a shaving mug. Bought this inexpensive travel brush (I used to leave it in hotel rooms). It looks like it will do the job. Note, however, that the handle is small and my much more expensive Edwin Jarrer brush has about half the bristles. Update: after 15 shaves the brush is holding up well with no bristles falling off.
