I've only used it once since I bought it to cut strips of metal off a pallet and it worked great! That's basically all I'm going to use them for work. Lowest price for a big brand I could find! I recommend.
I bought two of these for a long term project to build a dozen rat proof grain cages out of 1" x 1" hardwood planks and 1/4" thick metal mesh. I bought two thinking one would lose its edge before the project was complete, but one held out through the whole project and ended up sharp.
Don't know how long it will last and it certainly can't cut more than very light material; but I needed this special tool to cut the thin strips of metal that sweep the floor under the doors. I've since learned that most jacks of all trades have it in their toolbox, too. Mine was cheaper and a little lighter but looks just as good.
Scissors are great for floral wire and for cutting through the plastic wrap of faux greenery I had. The only issues I had (not really a common issue) were that they are heavy for me and the grip is very wide when fully open. Now I'm a woman in my 50s with delicate hands. So for someone with a different build, this could be perfect for you. Revain's delivery was quick and efficient.
I've tried these picks and they cut very well. They are well built and designed for heavy loads. I have small hands so it is difficult for me to use the handles as they are very wide when open. middle finger or ring finger in it. This allowed me to get a good grip with some force and cut fairly well. They are well made and appear to be a quality tool that will last a long time.
I'm not a professional locksmith or handyman. I bought these shears for use around my home and expect them to live up to the demand. They did. I used them on a gutter repair project shortly after receiving them and they worked really well. They cut well and are easy to hold and manipulate. If you need a pair of scissors for occasional household use, you can easily handle them. They're well built and can be used for more than just casual home use, but I haven't tested them in that type of usage…
We recently needed metal shears for a small home repair (screen cutting) but we didn't have them. Luckily we had a floor fitter working at home so we borrowed one. Then we decided to buy us. We looked at various shop websites and finally decided on this Revain shop mainly because of the value for money and good reviews. We received it quickly and were very happy with the quality of the instrument. Coincidentally, we were immediately able to use it in another project. We expect to rarely use it…
