Good design! Holds lots of seeds.

Good design. Holds lots of seeds. Hopefully the material is strong enough to last a long time. Hasn't stood the test of time yet.

Nice and functional

This feeding sock is beautiful and the birds love it. I would buy from this seller again. This is a quality feeder and my mom was so happy with how beautiful it is.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not bad

Birds don't like it

Finches don't seem to like these socks. I think the mesh is stronger than other socks I have. They compete for space on other socks, but they don't settle for this one at all (okay, sometimes I see a bird on it, but that's rare). I will not darn other socks and see if they use these. I'll update so you know what's going on.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Secret

the birds here don't like it

when i bought the bag i didn't know it had a design printed on it ---- it seems to act as a scarecrow for the finches in the yard- -they love the simple pouch version (usually a bit smaller too) but avoid that like the plague ---- and of course after filling this swmbo I realized that I bought a similar version about 5 years ago and it didn't work then either! Will blame this purchase for Crs disease

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • minor issues

Birds will not approach him.

Large, neatly painted images of goldfinches on either side of the toe completely repel real goldfinches. Real birds perch in nearby trees and swoop down to view the sock, but never land to eat the seeds. I have been feeding goldfinches at this location for 7 years using a different manufacturer's sock and they have always liked the seeds. Now I have to look for another brand without pictures.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • I'll add later

but got dirty from her dirty feet very quickly

Finches flocked to this sock hanging at the end of my garden shed in 5 minutes but it got dirty from her dirty feet very quickly. They enlarged a few holes when fed, and washing (by hand with soap and water) got them clean, but didn't do much to prevent the slightly torn holes from further tearing. Overall it worked well and I'll probably buy another one when they're done wrecking this one next year.

Pros
  • Best in the Niche
Cons
  • Weight
