This black silicone sealant is perfect for automotive use! It creates a waterproof seal that's incredibly durable, and it doesn't dry out or crack over time. This is exactly what I was looking for. It's really hard to find real black color silicone at the moment, all I can find in stores is dark gray stuff and they don't work.

I used this black sealant to connect the rear bumper (on my Subaru) and trailer wiring connector. It's a very sticky, slippery, muddy material, but once dry, adhesion was excellent. There are many different silicone sealants. I like this one because it's black so it matches my color scheme. Note that you can poke a hole in the tube to make it work using the back of the cap. It's a nice touch.
