These side caps look great and appear to be very well made and durable. I searched in vain for halves that fit my 6 year old, all were too big. They fit perfectly and she said they are very comfortable. They really help her stabilize in the saddle and look sharp. Ideal!

Medium fits a slim/medium 8 year old who weighs 63 pounds and is approximately 53 inches tall. If your child has larger calves, consider the Medium Plus option of this or another brand if available. Going to a large size gives you more length than width and I don't think a weekly rider will stretch them much before they outgrow them. I treated her and her driven boots with Camp Dry to make them easier to clean.

Quality suede, material and design but poor construction. We are the originally ordered medium. My daughter is 10 and we chose the big one. My daughter is 6'1" and 70 pounds, rather muscular. At first we were satisfied, but after 5 uses the zipper broke on one of them. No instructions or pictures for wearing or cleaning.
