I bought this remote control to replace my 2014 F150 FX4. The remote control is clearly defective because as soon as I programmed it to lock my truck, it activated the remote start. Apparently I'm not the only one with this problem.

I cut up the key fob and watched a youtube video on how to program it and it worked great. You must have two keys that will start the truck before you can program the chip. In my case it was a 2012 Ford F150 pickup.

The dealer was unable to program the key buttons to work with any of the keys. It starts the truck but won't open the doors etc. The key needs to be replaced BUT the dealer said it would need an additional $85 to program a new key. If the key needs to be replaced, your company should pay Levan Ford $85 to program a new replacement key.

I was skeptical at first because I asked the Ford dealer if I needed the key and it cost $200 for the key and reprogramming. So $25 almost seemed good to be true. Well I was wrong here! It works fantastic! It really works and I am now buying a second one to put on my truck. Very worth your money! Just take a look at your manual if you need help flashing the dongle, or YouTube does a good job too. Highly recommended!

When he went to program them, the programmer found that the chip had been removed from the key, so not only did we lose money buying that key and cut it, we also had to pay a programming fee that didn't work, because the chip was missing. Of course, after paying for the programming and key cutting, I was told that the door lock button on the key fob didn't work. When you lock the truck, the truck will actually start. Ordered two keyfobs for my 2014 F150. These key fobs look exactly like the original key except for the missing Ford logo on the back. The price is reasonable but the functionality is not the same. Programming the fob was easy (turn on the ignition 8 times, the truck's locks will lock, then press any button on each remote). But BOTH fobs now remote start when I press the latch.
