I bought this to keep my cat away from the couch she was peeing on. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because it offers great entertainment. She plays on it, sleeps on it and generally loves it, it makes a loud rustling noise. So loud it wakes me up at night, it's now her favorite place to sit.

As furniture protection. It works for one and not the other but the three stars is because I have two brands of these cases that both wear the same but both cases I bought with that brand broke. I had to glue them together. So the price is right, they work, but they don't last as long as other brands.

This product has worked great on my 2 large 80 lb yellow labs, they are completely couch bed since I put him on the couch. My cat thought it was adorable, so it doesn't seem to scare cats off. It's not very thick, but that's ok because I can easily fold it up and put it away. to get a warning. For the price, it's definitely worth trying.
