🐱 Thermo-Kitty Mat Reversible Cat Bed by K&H Pet Products, now with Heated Comfort Review

My cat is not yet used to this pad but I have tested it and it provides comfortable, safe warmth for a cold elderly indoor cat. My objection is that the size of the rug is very misleading; The heating pad itself is just a narrow strip that moves inside the cover. If I had known that, I probably would have chosen something else. Any thought of using a rug in my large dog bed was discarded. If the heating element was the size of a lid it would work, but it's actually too small.

I think I received a different product from all the other five star reviews. The product I received hardly heats up. To test it, I followed the instructions, plugged it in, and put a pillow on it for 20 minutes. It was barely warm. I pulled the real panel out of the case and felt it was a little warm, but was surprised to see its size. It's only 5 1/2 inches x 20 inches. Cover size 12.5 x 25 inches. So the pillow is tiny. This item resembles a human heating pad. There is an outer fabric cover with a zippered end and an inner rectangular plastic coated heating element with an electric cord. I've had it for about 6 months now and overall I would buy it again. I live in Idaho and my cat doesn't really like the cold.
